Bring your entire family to the Sugarloaf Reservoir Park for a fun-filled day out. Try some shoreline fishing and take home some of the finest varieties of rainbow trout and cook your fresh catch at the BBQ facilities located at the nearby picnic grounds. Shoreline fishing is only allowed in designated areas during park hours and make sure you have purchased a Recreational Fishing Licence.
The Saddle Dam Picnic Area is a popular location for families to relax and have a quiet lunch where you will find plenty of picnic tables and a toilet block. Unfortunately, there are no BBQ facilities at Saddle Dam. Other picnic spots are the Ridge Picnic Area which has picnic tables, BBQ facilities and toilets, and Ironbark Ridge picnic area which has two double hotplate gas barbecues under shelter.
There are also a number of scenic lookouts located nearby including Southern Lookout and Western Lookout. If you are interested in going for a walk, then take a walk along one of the tracks in and around the park including the Ironbark, Chris Phillips and Sugarloaf Walking Tracks. The Chris Phillips walk is on the western side of the park, accessible from either the Ridge or Saddle Dam picnic areas.
