The Yarra Valley has a special tourist railway popularly known as the Yarra Valley Railway which operates on a part of the main railway section of the former Healesville railway.
These days, this scenic railway connects the popular tourist town of Healesville to Tunnel Hill.
Yarra Valley Railway Tourist Train Healesville, Victoria
This tourist railway was first introduced in 2010 and was a local initiative to reconstruct the former railway transport system in Healesville and its neighbourhoods. The project also includes several reconstruction plans for both the Lilydale and Yarra Glen Railway systems.
Visitors to the towns of Healesville and Lilydale are encouraged to take the scenic railway and explore the nearby attractions. While on your tour, enjoy the gorgeous views of the scenic mountainous landscape and vineyards.
Are well behaved dogs (on lead) allowed to travel with their owners on the tourist train?
